State Crimes Against Democracy (SCADs)
SCADs
State Crimes Against Democracy (SCADs) is a term coined by Lance deHaven-Smith. He is a scholar who has largely defined a key phenomenon that both sustains and creates the unacceptable paradigms we all live within. What he describes is the ability for forces within governments and adjacent structures to commit significant crimes that subvert and influence democracies against their own interests.
What he defines is something we all have a vague “feeling” about. Many in the general public even have specific knowledge about individual events (or deceptions). This varies subconsciously or consciously for the individual, but we generally know these fundamental deceptions exist, and are occurring with some regularity.
He describes the importance of SCADs as follows:
Until recently, scholarly research on political criminality has given little attention to antidemocratic conspiracies in high office, focusing instead on graft, bribery, embezzlement, and other forms of government corruption where the aim is personal enrichment rather than social control, partisan advantage, or political power. However, SCADs are far more dangerous to democracy than these other, more mundane forms of political criminality because of their potential to subvert political institutions and entire governments or branches of government.
Lance deHaven-Smith outlines various events in the above talk, and he has also noted these particular events as SCADs:
Examples of suspected SCADs include the fabricated attacks on U.S. ships in the Gulf of Tonkin in 1964; the "October Surprises" in the presidential elections of 1968 and 1980; the assassinations of John Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King; the attempted assassinations of George Wallace and Ronald Reagan; the election breakdowns in 2000 and 2004; the numerous defense failures on 9-11-2001; the anthrax mailings in October 2001; and the misrepresentation of intelligence to justify the invasion and occupation of Iraq.
State Crimes Against Democracy (SCADs) can take various forms.
PROJECTPENS will largely focus on “let it happen on purpose” (LIHOP) and “made it happen on purpose” (MIHOP) events. Due to state secrecy and general media complicity, these are difficult to “openly” expose. Even when they are fundamentally exposed, achieving action can be the hardest part. PROJECTPENS will work to focus our readers and citizen activists on particular events that not only can be exposed, but must be exposed.
Assuming we want to live in a functional representative democracy, or have peace or justice, they must be exposed.
PROJECTPENS will expand this section and publish detailed articles in the coming months. These will cover LIHOPs, MIHOPs, false-flags, fabricated synthetic/staged events – and more. We hope you subscribe (free) and will then receive these articles as they are published.
As the anniversary of the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty approaches, we will also publish on that horrific event.
We will give books away to paid subscribers monthly. Some books are on the USS Liberty. ;)
